Nice vid. Back when I was a kid, 8 or 10 maybe, one of my friends had an older brother who tore up our local hills on one leg. No prosthesis, just one leg. I wonder what ever became of him...

Yeah that works for me... I love to get out on the bike (either road or mountain) and just ride - I'm most taken by floral scenery, especially in the spring or fall. I'm less inspired by cars, concrete and asphalt and fumes.

New bikes, clean bikes, coffee and the lure of breakfast including bacon, more breakfast, post-ride naps, plotting a new route, meeting friends that I haven't ridden with for awhile, nature, famers' markets, and of course...pie.

Awesome vid. Reminds me of my brother who has the same condition, left leg amputated 8 inches below the knee after nasty motorcycle accident. He doesn't ride bicycles do, still uses motorcycles.

There's a beautiful woman around longwood that rides a road bike and has only one leg. She kick ass and drops EVERYBODY.

I sincerely hope "she kick ass"is not some sort of warped joke"?

Not the Mets.

^Not the least sign of remorse for the passing of a great Ohioan,George Steinbrenner, NY Yankees.
But then again Pcad would bet the farm on a 3-legged horse in the Kentucky Derby.

I did mourn the passing of The Boss. Mainly because I reflected on all the happiness effective ownership has brought Yankee fans over the past 40 years, while Mets fans have been subjected to the idiot Mets owners.

Inspiration for me comes from many places, depending on the place and occasion. For teaching, inspiration is thinking of past successes. For riding, it's looking at my man-boobs in the mirror. For just general life - a good song. I like music. Truth be told, if I had one vice, it'd probably be that.

And the passing of George? Hit me hard. I went to high school with his grand-daughter, and we were good friends. Met the guy a few times, and while I hate the Yankees more than I hate the Packers (go Bears!), he's the best guy I've ever met - very, very genuine guy.

Sometimes idiot management works.
Example:
George punching Billy Martins lights out in a moving elevator.

I golf better when I ride a lot. My wife also says she appreciates the difference.

Inspiration on a typical day ---
Morning inspiration: "Arrrgh, I'm late for work"
Evening inspiration: "I'm so tired and just want to go home"

My dad, who is overweight and has had a heart attack; his dad, who was overweight and died of a heart attack before I was born.

That and smugness which allows me to righteously call Prius drivers "gas-holes."
