Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a chaincase? I haven't been able to find one anywhere that didn't come with a bike. Or any ideas on how to make one at home DIY style?
Thanks!

It's somewhat limited in its applications, but Hebie makes a great chaincase: http://www.hebie.de/Chainglider-350-38-42-44.hebie350chainglider.0.html?&L=1

The SKS Chainboard works well with derailleurs. YMMV.

It isn't a full chain case, but is fairly full coverage, ( I added a cut down foam plate behind to give better protection for the chain. ) It can be a pain to fit, often needs some careful trimming as well, but cuts down significantly on the amount of crud on the drivetrain. Should use it with full coverage fenders for the best results.

Does the SKS unit work with cranks that have two chainrings? It looks like there is no opening for a front derailluer.

It often needs a bit of trimming, can get quite fiddly, but worth the effort in my opinion for the extended chain life and reduced cleaning.
