Hi all.
Just found this forum yesterday, what a great resource! I just started a new job this week that I can pretty easily bike commute to. Showers, outside racks (not too great, but today I stashed my bike in my cube so we'll see what sort of nasty reaction occurs...) and only 6 miles from home! Last week I picked up a monster light in preparation for the darkness coming up, so I'm ready to rock. I've done a bit of commuting in the past, but at much longer distances (16-22 mi. each way) before my wife and I had the most beautiful baby girl in the world. So this is the first time commuting will be convenient. Anyone else commuting in the Poway/RB area?
Dan

What kind of light do you have and how do you like it?

I got a L&M ARC. Researched a LOT and finally decided I wanted something cars would never not see, something with a longer run-time than my nightrider digital pro6, and that could be used both off-road and on-road. Since so far I've been riding in half-light in the morning at worst, and before sunset at night, I can't tell you any long-term results. But short-term, it rips. You get a nice, wiiiide beam in front of the bike, a small hot spot in the middle, and good distance. If you go to MTBR.com and look at their lights comparison, you'll get the idea.
