One box for the frame, the other for the 'stuff' that goes on the frame.
Have fun . . . but isn't your LBS supposed to assemble it (Co-Motion's rules, if I recall).

I'm just guessing, but I believe the inference was that the LBS would transform the two boxes into a tandem by the end of the day and that our good friend would be able to come and collect a complete machine in the evening.... per Co-Motion's rules as you correctly note.
Regardless, good to hear news of the arrival. Keep us posted on the visuals and first ride impressions.

Yes Zona... I rode my commuter bike to the LBS (500 feet..yes i live in a very very small town..everything is within a few blocks..including the dialysis clinic that I run) and there was two boxes..like your said...but there in the stand was the most beautiful frame I have ever seen... craig (lbs guy) said this is the most beautiful paint job he had ever seen in 25 years in the business....I told him I was ready to pay for the bike and low and behold he tossed in a trailerbike ($200 VALUE) for free! YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now the whole family... me my wife and my 4 (FOUR) kids can all go on a ride together. .................LIFE IS GOOOD!!!!!!!!!!

That's a 'ganga deal' as we say here in the sunny southwest!
Life is good! Now let's get mom and the kids aboard!
Enjoy . . . and pedal on!

Must be nice. My LBS called me last week to say that my tandem should get built on the 1st of October. Story is that Shimano is gumming up the works. Patience is a virtue...
