I've decided it's time to ditch the Axel Elite's that came with my Cannondale F400. I'm riding rooty / rocky east coast singletrack most of the time and want something stiffer (like, a LOT stiffer), with greater travel. Any suggestions?

Marzocchi Z1, Manitou Minute 3, .....etc.

What is your buget?

It's like asking, "I need a new car, which one should I get?".

A little more specific request will result in a more accurate answer on our part.

i have a manitou sherman firefly front fork with 20mm axel hex lock, rapid travel II system up for sell...
but it really depends on your budget what you lookig for and what your going to use it for...but mainly your budget is the most important for figureing your next fork upgrade

I take your point about the pricing. Budget = $300

Ill take that as 300 USD and you live in the US. In that case...look around the 200-300 dollar area http://www.pricepoint.com/thumb.htm?dept_id=3&deptName=Parts&sub_id=59&subName=Forks/Accessories&category=False&cat=&sort=lprice&ascend=1

It's generalized because of what you're going to do with it, which I don't know.
