Fifty Plus (50+) - Pie Ride - Would this count or do I have to do two?

Trailnet is a local St Louis organization that promotes trail construction and bike rides. On Sept. 17th they are hosting a "Foot High Pie Ride". FWIW, I've had the pie before and it's good. My question is: Would this ride count as a 50+ pie ride or do I have to do two?

So doing two is a hardship?

Somehow, I see this as asking permission to eat pie twice. I don't think you'll have any problem getting clearance here.:lol:

I thought "foot high" was a reference to the amount of climbing in the ride.

Iv'e had those mile high pies before and they are exceptional!!!!! Just need them to come out to Colorado where
mile high could have a dual meaning. Wish I were close enough to participate it that ride. But yes you do need to do two pie rides...

This is the club I've started hanging with's idea of a pie ride. 82.6 miles with with 7,578 feet of climbing and a max grade of 21%. Lunch at the "Strawberry Lodge", which apparently is known for its pie.

Not sure I'm up for this one - I have trouble getting back to the start/finish of the club rides while anyone else is still in the parking lot. But this ride would most definitely make the pie well deserved and tasty, even if I end up eating by myself after the others are long gone. I'll need to either go my own way that Saturday, or really and truly HTFU.

Starts in Highland Il. I can't imagine anything you would have to do out-of-town that could possibly be more important.

The foot high's are cream pies. I think that they might overdo the whipped cream a tad to achieve the height. I've always had double crust fruit pies (ala mode) which, while not actually a foot high, are still mighty tasty.

Uh - Retro doesn't do internet photos. You'll have to trust me about the pie.

I'm thinking that cycling around Highland, Illinois is going to be better than bicycling from island to island.

Silly Question--a double portion of Pie is worth two rides so ride both days.
