Ok,
I just put on my new 700c wheel. The valves I had only worked on one of the new wheels, damn deep v's....
My question is:
Can I run a 700c rear wheel and a 27inch front wheel at the same time? I just want to be able to ride it around tonight for a little bit and will get a new tube tomorrow.

If it fits in your fork, yeah sure. Alot of people ride 650c's on the front, so riding with diff size wheels isnt that big of a deal.

Are you running 2 brakes, machined sidewalls?

You could drill them out for Schrader valves. I don't like Prestas. They tend to stick when I least want them to.
