HEllo Everyone I have a quick question for you guys. I am about to pick up a older shimano dura ace 7 speed RD. I have a mid 80's fuji equipped with the fuji/suntour RD, but my question is. Since the suntour RD has a hanger attached to the actual deraillieur and the DURA ACE does not, Will I be able to use the Dura Ace on my bike with no problems? Will I be able to use the old hanger and just slap it on? My bike has no hanger attached to the dropouts so Im just a little curious, since I have switched hangers on deraillieurs before. Thanks everyone quick responses would be appreciated.

If the hanger (aka "claw") on the Sun Tour rd has the standard M10x1.0 derailleur mounting hole then your DA derailleur can be used directly. If the Sun Tour derailleur is riveted to its hanger you will need a new hanger. Here is one source:
