Hi all.

So i've got a GT Avalanche 1.0. Dont use it off road any more, but use it to ride to work. I got
some road tyres and rigid carbon fibre forks. Cut about 10 mins off my journey.

Question is: What else can i do to make it better for the road or "faster"????

Or am i better off buying a new frame? I dont want to get a road bike as this bike will see a lttle
off road action.

Thanks..

You've addressed the main things, weight and tires. The only other thing you might want to change would be gearing. Other than that, just ride it!

Drop the handlebars to road bike height.

Fine tune seat position and stem length to suit.
