...and its seems to be mostly hipster free. Really though, so far so good. We are staying with some really cool friends of a friend. Im a little glad I have gears right now, at least not knowing my way around right now. I miss my fixed though. So far l have seen only a few fixies, a load of moutain bikes though.

I wanted to update about our trip more but internet has been rare...

Ok I live here. What's the deal? Vacation? Move? If you want fixies just hit up Granville downtown or Main and Broadway.

Mostly hipster free, depends where you are. People here ride bikes that work for them, not really based on trend I guess. Hipsters here skipped right to vintage road bikes. Too many hills and who wants to be sweaty when you have a $100 vintage t-shirt on?

Main street is definitely a hipsterland, so don't come here. We don't like other people bringing their typical mainstream mannerism onto Main street.

But seriously, this town is quite nice, bike-friendly almost anywhere.

I'm from Victoria but go to van to see family from time to time. Usually I see a couple vintage track bikes everytime I go there and the odd flamboyant bike as well.
