I need/want a 1/8" 43t 144 bcd chain ring in black.
Blackspire and All-City seem my only choices.

Who has experience with either or both of these chain rings?
Accurate roundness and low noise mean the most to me; more than aesthetics.
Thanks.

I have had good luck with the Sugino Zen Messenger, which is available in 144 bcd 43T x 1/8 black >>> http://www.benscycle.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3112¤cy=USD

+1. It doesn't seem as perfectly round as my Sugino Zen ring, but very close. Mine is silent when used with a KMC Z610HX chain. Good luck!

Blackspire is local to me. Everything is made on-shore. A good CNC machine is the same as the next. They are both hardened and anodised.
I would politely ask that you spend money in my neighbourhood. Plus I like having components that others don't have. Blackspire is that.

I have the 130bcd version and it has served me well. It is round as far as I know nor does it make any horrible noise when I pedal.

Thanks for pointing out the Zen Messenger chain ring.
I have a Sugino 75 crank, and this would keep everything in family.
Someday, though, I want to try a Blackspire product, but not now that I have the option of staying with Suginol
Thanks.
