I recently serviced my 2006 Brompton M6R+, and in the process I managed to damage (slightly, but worryingly nonetheless) a chain link by forcing too much with the chain extractor. :(
Anyway, this gave me an excuse to upgrade the offending chain link with a SRAM Powerlink. :D
I have a standard 2006 6-speed Brompton (pre-BWR / Brompton Wide Range), so that's 3-speed SRAM gear hub, 2-speed derailleur (13T and 15T sprokets), with a 50T chainring. The required chain is therefore 1/2" x 3/32" (not 1/2" x 1/8"), usually sold with 102 chain links (just remove 2 to get the correct number).
The correct version of SRAM/Sachs Powerlink is silver/grey PC10.
As Brompton says "We recommend SRAM PC1 (1/8") and PC10 (3/32") chains": http://www.brompton.co.uk/page.asp?p=3070
They are normally sold as "7-Speed" models as well.

Chain breakage to remove the damaged link (note: the link is not totally removed on this photo, the other pin need to be extracted to complete the breakage and fit the Powerlink):
