I've made some changes and would like constructive criticism. I'm process of converting all pages to template style and I've re-organized the catalogs page.

I'm considering only having U.S. catalogs available with indiviual thumnails with all other catalogs being available in pdf format only.

Hows the page width look on your monitor? At the moment I have it set at '1000' which is the width of the header bar.

Any thoughts and comments are appreciated.

I'm not a fan of the mesh background and the style of the navigation bar on the left seems pretty dated, but it does look a bit more consistent from page to page. I also noticed that there is no link to the Model ID page from the new navigation bar.

On the plus side, when you've got so much great info in one place, the layout doesn't matter very much. :thumb: Keep it simple.

The catalogs page starts with a cut off sentence? First two seconds look go so far haha.

The "MyPeugeot" page has the pics on top of text, for me at least.

I'd agree with both, though I'm no expert in web page design. Many pages have the navigation bar at the top, while the SerialNumbers, Links, and Contact tabs have them on the left (which I like better).

While reading the tab on Threading, I noticed this:

Yes, all pages will eventualy have the nav bar on the left.

I'm not web page design literate so I'm using a basic plug and play program for my site. When I initialy started I used blank pages but that style seems to have a bland dead feel to it. Because of that I went the through the available templates and picked one that seemed like it would work best with my current layout.

In general how do you guys like to style of the new pages? Does it look too narrow ot too wide?

Width is a bit narrow, but my display is set to 1360x764. More width would mean less scrolling to read the text.

Just had another look at on my laptop this time (with a 1024 x 768 display,) and the proportions look pretty good at that resolution.

I am currently running 1366 x 768 on my laptop.

One problem I've always had with your site, Jim, is that body text and other text (I don't know whether to call it sidebar, inset, or something else) overlap in a way that obscures the body text. An example is the Model ID page you link to, where the Head Tube inset on yellow obscures the 1970s text behind it. The only way I've been able to read it is to select the body text through/behind the inset/sidebar, and paste it into a text document! I'm using Firefox (completely up-to-date) on a Mac PowerBook.

Wider is good. Mesh is not good.
