Okay so on my new used leader my tire and tube were slashed, the front tire. So I grabbed my front alex r500 off my madison and threw it on there. Its amazing the ride quality difference even with the stock $10 25c kenda tires. Im adverging 5-10 mphs higher and climbing 10x easier and just flying way faster then with the deep v on there. Is it the weight difference of having a lighter rim on the front. Is it the 95 air pressure vs the 130 on the rubino pros. Or do you think the hub on the deep v is ****ed? Either way i am completely happy with having my tire slashed lol. It doesnt matter to me either way but im just curious as to why the DRASTIC change.

95 psi vs 130 psi is going to be a drastic difference right there. Not sure which one you're currently running, inclined to think it's the 130 psi ? Just my experiences with a 100 psi max pressure tires, but steering is crisper at max psi, even the way the rear tire feels accelerating and maintaining speed. As the tire gradually loses psi over a few weeks even hitting uneven pavement feels like the rim takes a hit. I don't go nearly as fast because of the lower psi, but that's because I'm not riding nearly as hard.

He said improved in riding quality; lower pressure = better quality.

My Krylion max out at 116, but I usually have it at ~97 front and ~107 on the back.

Do you prefer the lower pressures rather than the max ? I like the max psi myself. I know skinny road tires are going to be a harsh ride, so I don't let them get appreciably lower anymore.

adriano

i dig 60psi.

I prefer the lower pressure I'm using right now, much smoother ride. 130 PSI is not going to be a pleasant ride on rough city roads.

But red makes people race you and brings tickets!

Though... my car is red and when I drive I always feel faster than when I drive anyone else's non red cars..

This must be true!
