Classic & Vintage - A few observations.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Well, Cannondale knew their target market in 1984. This is some good marketing!

They really sold everything back then. Awesome.
Also, I saw the first person wearing a cycling cap (Columbus tubing) in public yesterday, off a bike. Let's just say I'm glad I never thought that was a good idea.

I had one of the hook and loop water bottles, but I lost it years ago. I also have a couple of Cannondale seat bags, still using them. They have held up well after all these years. I had forgotton about all the other stuff they sold.

I have a pair of Cannondale panniers that I bought new in 1984... heck... I still have the Blackburn rack that I bought with them.
I think the reason that you don't see a lot of this gear around today is because it was so expensive and not many people spent that kind of money on bicycles. I think that I paid about $60 for the rack and nearly $150 for the panniers. That was a ton of money to a college student who worked part time making $2.10/hour...
Think about it, how well would the ad fly if it were a man in the same pose?

So I'm not the only one who figured this is where the OP was headed with this... I feel better.
