With all of the discussion of collectable carbon bikes, I have been on the lookout. Thanks to a good colleague of ours here on the forum, I will soon have a very nice 2300 frame.

Now with this bike, I'm thinking modifications as opposed to stock. I have couple of 1" carbon forks sitting around as a result of some frame sales I have done lately.

Have any of you put carbon forks on carbon composite frames?

BTW, I'm not worried about the forks spontaneously combusting.

Thx

Bob,
Just about every modern CF frame has a CF fork, what's your concern?

Not a concern. Just seeking experience re handling differences, etc.

Ive had a 2300 before and a variant of it (2100) and rode em both with carbon forks at some point, either threaded or threadless, as far as handling goes if the rake is the same I wouldnt expect a whole lot of difference, the bike should be a tad lighter unless you're throwing el cheapo fork on. I had a pretty expensive full carbon threadless fork on and it rode beautifully, didnt like another I tried, threaded steerer and straight blade with too much rake or trail or whatever, just too kicked out for my liking, I found it to be a bit too flexy, nice for just straight forward riding, but didnt like it sprinting or climbing out of the saddle.

Thx. Just what I was looking for.
