Does anyone own or is knowledgeable about this torque wrench:

Is this made by Shimano (which is probably unlikely) or re-badged with a Shimano logo? Is it of good quality (think CDI / Snap On) or lower quality (think Harbor Freight @$25) or somewhere in between?

PS - I've read the recent posts about torque wrenches and some swear by them and others at them.

at 119 you can find a wrench that is of known good quality. no need to second guess with the shimano one. williams 1/4 drive hex sockets are about 30 shipped on ebay. the syntace wrench is a rebadged norbar which is very good

It's the real deal... p.s. I've paid more than that for torque wrenches.

It has nothing to do with swearing at the tool, it has to do with knowing when you need one or not.... this is something you cannot buy.

For bicycle work just get the park torque wrenches.

I have the exactly same torque wrench. Bought it for 40 euros at a MC shop. I have seen it re-branded in several instances. It feels like a quality tool and seems very well made. It claims individual calibration with serial number (+-4% accuracy). The range, 3-15 Nm is perfect for the delicate stuff.
"Pro" Tools is a Dutch company that Shimano bought, but I am pretty sure this torque wrench is made in China and just re-branded.

I shall consider the Norbar torque wrench. The other will probably be a CDI / Snap-on.
