I have recently taken up track cycling and decidided to invest in a pair of cycling shoes. These have red look cleats. However on my first go at the Newport velodrome by knee was aching. After taking my shoes off I noticed burns appearing on both insides of the shoe. I got the cpach to alter the cleats slightly and it doesn't seem to be rubbing as much but every tim eI pedal on the upstroke it feels as though my feet are being dargges into the pedal. Any tips on new shoes and altering cleats and why this strange feeling occurs. Thanks

A good start would be to throw your red look cleats in the bin and replace them with the black version. Also tighten up your release on your pedals pretty tight.
