Just picked up a new raleigh sojourn last thursday and have been riding/adjusting it and almost have it dialed in. One thing I don't get is the "label" on the top tube. It's about a 1/16" thick. Does this have some purpose i don't know about? Here's a pic from another site showing it. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_dYjbYvvcZ2w/STbsdA7domI/AAAAAAAAC8s/0yqzFJatYUg/s400/raleigh%20009.jpg

Love the bike. Rides smooth carrying my oversized rear end around, tracks a nice straight line, and is getting more comfortable as I get the seat position dialed in.

Maybe it is a spot for leaning the bike against something. you know, so it doesn't scratch up the paint.

I had assumed it was where the handlebars would whap the frame, but I just checked, and it isn't. Maybe they put the bike together, thought "This is a bit light yet" so they added 'em on there.

the lean thing has possibilities. The too light thing, eh, no.
