General Cycling Discussion - NYC Century Trail still visible.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The C arrows that were spray painted on the ground to indicate the route through the streets for the NYC century more than 3 weeks ago are still visible. My gf and I rode around brooklyn and through queens following the arrows on the ground today cause I wanted to show her what my century was like, we did about 60 miles total.
Anyone wanna try to repeat it next weekend w/o the rest stops?
Im interested. I never done anything over 50 miles yet so I dont know if can make it without any stops. What was your average in the century last time? I dont wanna slow you down Zi :(
Nah you won't be slowing me down, I take my mtb on trips like that. When I was with the roadies I averaged something like 16.5 mph. I averaged 11.7mph with my gf today.
We can make stops for lunch and stuff but what I mean is the designated stops that were provided won't be there (of course).
Ok - right now im pretty sure I wont be busy this weekend, but ill let you know later on this week to be certain.
Do you know where I could find a map or general overview of that route?
I would like to check it out while the marks are still visible when I've got some time.
check http://www.transalt.org
the map was posted there somewhere
