From what I've read here (http://campagnolo.wikispaces.com/Seatpost), it seems the seat post was made in Alloy and Steel for C-Record and Athena and Chorus from 1986 to 1988. Anyone know if this is accurate or were they made other years? It seems like they are a pretty hot item for such a limited production time. Anyone have any other information on the post?

I just got one for $30 with a few scratches, but I'm super stoked to put it on my 1986 Faggin Italian road frame that I'm restoring. I'll definitely be gluing a bb in the clamp bolt:)

They were made in aluminum only. There are several variations. Amoung the groups that included an aero seatpost of some variation are Record, C-record, chorus, Croce D'aune, victory, triomphe, athena, and perhaps even others (mirage, stratos?). They probably appeared in prototype around 1983/4 and were made into the mid 1990s.
