Bicycle Mechanics - Finding 20" Schwalbe Marathons in Boston [URGENT]

We're in the middle of a bike ride, taking a few days in Boston to do a scientific conference, and have realized that our back tire on our Bike Friday tandem is bulging. Whoops. Time to replace it. The problem is, I'm having trouble finding 20" Schwalbe Marathons in Boston. I'd like to replace the existing 20x1.5 with another 20x1.5, but could consider another size if necessary.

Does anyone know a bike store in Boston that carries this kind of stuff? All I can find with Google is online stores, and worry about their ability to hit a moving target. We're leaving on Thursday, so don't feel that any shipping service would be fast enough, without paying oodles of money for next-day air.

P.S. It could actually be any store close to I-95 between Boston and Bangor, ME. We'll be driving that part of the trip.

Also try Belmont Wheelworks. they have stores in Belmont and Somerville, both close in just northwest of Cambridge. Beyond that simply pull out the yellow pages, of search the internet for bike shops in Boston area. The area is well saturated with good shops, and one is sure to have what you need, or can order one in overnight.

I've no experience riding on them, but some BMX tires may suit you.

Just from watching the "Extreme Sports" BMX where they do stunts in a half-pipe, I think those tires will be tough enough.

Yup. While the Schwalbe would be my first choice, I've been using the Maxxis Hookworm BMX tire on my recumbent, and they are bomb proof. They take 110 psi too.

There are plenty of dealers in the Boston area: Broadway Bicycle School, ATA Cycles, Harris (already mentioned), Community Bicycle Supply, Bikeway Source, Revolution Bicycle Repair, and Cambridge Bicycle.

If none of them has what you want, Peter White Cycles (www.peterwhitecycles.com) has them in stock. They're not exactly on the I-95 corridor but they're not too far out of the way, in Hillsborough, NH.

And seconding the suggestion to use BMX tires. Both my Greenspeed Scorchers developed bulges while I was touring in Ireland on my NWT this summer, and I ended up replacing them with BMX tires.
