I saw an old style (8 speed) ergo shifter on ebay where the seller cut part of the pointed tip off of the top of the shifter to accommodate the new style hoods, which are rounded off there instead of pointed like the old ones. Has anyone on here tried that? does it end up fitting ok or is it too loose or anything?
