Planning a trip from La Crosse to Chicago, via Amtrak on 9/27 to La Crosse, with overnight stops at Wildcat State Park, Baraboo, Green Lake, Sheboygan, and Milwaukee, then back to Chicago. I've got the first 4 days mapped out*, from Sheboygan I'm good without routing like I've done for the first four days. Any feedback on my routes would be appreciated. There are some long days but I think I'm up for it. I'll be riding a Novara Randonee with a lightweight 1 man tent and a sleeping bag for camping; several nights I'll be staying with friends.

I'm dependent on my floor pump for keeping my tires inflated properly when riding locally. What are some tips for keeping tires inflated on a daily basis when touring? I have a Topeak frame pump but no guage. Do most people on tours carry a gauge?
Thanks!
