Mountain Biking - How much can my XC crank take?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just barely bought a new Race Face Evolve crankset W/ an SRX bb. I really like it a lot. It's really stiff and light, and it shifts well. I'm just wondering how much abuse it can take. I wont be doing any big hucks or anything (max of five feet) since I only have a hardtail. Will my lightweight XC crank and bb hold up to that? I only weigh around 130-135 pounds, so I'm usually not too hard on my equipment. Please reply before I do something stupid without knowing if I can!

The cranks can take some abuse (5ft works well). That bb sucks. I have blown through a few.
Ithought (in the past) evolve was a cost effective freeride crank? Not a xc crank.

If I remember correctly, RF makes the Evolve in a DH/FR and an XC model.

ahhh...ok...I stopped tracking raceface a while ago when I switched to fsa. I totally forgot that fact.
