I just replaced my crank set an bb and am getting a clicking noise when I pedal hard! The Crank is a hollowtech XT, bb is es-71 octaspline. What did I do wrong?

did you grease the thread when you put the bb in. Did you grease the spline and the crank arm?

No I didn't grease the splines. The threads had the factory lube on them when I installed it.

You should NOT have to grease the splines. This was a much argued point when discussing 4 sided tapered bb's and when the Octalink splined ones came out, Shimano stated that grease was NOT needed!
You sure it's not your pedals? Did you grease your pedal threads when you put them on the new cranks? Try that!
