Mountain Biking - Some highlights from my ride today.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

To say the least a really long ride was in trail mode. Was a nice day and I really needed to go for a long ride, so here are some highlights.

Don't you love it when the four wheelers dig up the trails? Some guys were out there a few weekends ago. The place was a disaster.

It's fun to just zip around these trails. Getting smacked by bushes. Good times.

I do not know about Henniker, but the hunters are out in force up here in Lebanon. There seem to be small, heavily armed, armies of quads everywhere, and it is not even deer rifle season yet.
We have conflicts with the conservation commission up here when it comes to trail use, but there has been little concern over the hunters abuse of the trails. Maybe we should start carrying guns?

OK it is the Blister Exists from Vol:3 Look at the time and notice that I was more than likely up for only 2 minutes when I typed that.
Yeah it would be a shame because his bullit is beautiful. Earth tones are a bit wearyful during hunting season.

I live in kansas and I have been tempted to wear something like this when riding during deer season - just in case.

I do wear an orange vest during hunting season, and an orange helmet cover. I figure better safe than shot. I still get nervous sometimes because rifle shots travel a long way, but I'm not going to lock myself up in the house for a month either.

Between the orange I'm wearing and the whistle every couple of minutes- no hunter will mistake me for dinner! (not to mention that their potential dinner will also not be around either)
