I had my bike flipped today while I was oiling the chain. I noticed a bit of water dripping from where the head tube meets the fork.. What should I do?

Your head tube is probably not installed correctly.

1st) Stop leaving your bike out in the rain
2nd) Take it to the LBS, they might have to take apart and re-pack the headset.

Meant Headset* sorry.

Your head tube is probably not installed correctly.

That makes a lot of sense. Go to your lbs and tell them you need your head tube re-installed and see what they say.

lol...have them check the specs on your inline rotary girder...you may even need a new johnson rod

That's what happens when the gigaflop transductor matrix is out of alignment.

You should probably just saw the head tube and weld a new one on there.

Ignore all this junk science being thrown around.

Just tighten your lockring.

Water usually gets in down the seat tube and pools around the BB, it just happened to go up the downtube when you flipped the bike.
If its a conversion, there's probably a screw hole for the cable guide you could open up to let it drain.

In my professional opinion, it seems you may have a faulty flux capacitor.

Your wheelset isn't ostentatious enough.

Have you considered neon orange aerospokes?

Simple fix: Your chain is too tight. Add a link.

Problem solved.

that's probably true, though I would start with a half link.

Two half-links FTW.

Water evaporates at natural temperatures. Just keep the bike warm and your problem should go away pretty quickly.

Two half-links FTW.
Do you know how many different combinations of length you could come up with if you had two half-links?

Millions.

I had this problem once, when I used to lock my bike outside. I was curious and started to wonder why, so I observed it for a couple of days. Seems my neighbor's Great Dane had developed a habit of urinating on my bicycle everyday when my neighbor took his dog for a walk.

I feel like we've done a lot of good here, guys.

I hope you saved the water that came out.

...or at least have a rough estimate of how much leaked out, just so you know how much to put back.

Personally, I recommend pedro's track water, even on conversions, it does the trick. Campy used to have some offerings, but have since discontinued their whole line, check ebay from time to time tho, every once and a while a vile of pure Italian track h2o will pop up.

LOL, ianjk, that pure Italian track H2O ? Any chance it was blessed by the Pope ? ;)

No, but it was hexed by Phil Wood. Why do you think it's discontinued?

Alright I think we're done here.

Yeah get the Dura-Ace water, it's NJS.

hairnet

NJS water is the best there is. Even though NJS sets restrictions to keep the stuff from offering an advantage, it's better than that stuff with electrolytes, whatever those are.

NJS water is just so pure.
