Not sure if there's anyone here from Nova Scotia, but anyways.

Hello, I'm from Nova Scotia. I've been cycling around my city commuting back and fore from work.

Hoping to get a new ride soon to do more, the local bike shop forum doesn't help much but I'm sure this place will.

You will see me around, a lot.

Hi Gear,
What type of bike are you wanting?

I'm thinking like a road bike, I like something better than Mountain bike I got from Canadian Tire (basically like Walmart). I'm just not sure... I do mostly commuting (trying to do all year round), but I like to able to some long distance ride just for kicks and push myself.

You have some great, scenic areas to ride. That has to be one of the best places anywhere. Welcome to BF and I miss Nova Scotia.

welcome to the forums. Hybrids are good for commuting and there is a magazine for town and commuter riders called the Bicycle Times. see if you can find a copy on your local newsstand.

Yea, I thought of getting a hybrid, but I heard they aren't great for long distance riding.
