I just got it today. It is about the size of a d battery. Bigger then I expected. Man is it bright. I bet it rivals my xenon flasher. Even with the lights on looking at it is hard on the eyes from arms length. Really easy to change the batteries just twist one end and there you go. You have two rows of lights and one button for each. You get blinking steady and running two speeds on each one. So you can get away with just one set running at a time.
I think this is a better choice overall then the xenon. Far longer run times and cheaper in the long run.

The box claims 100 hours. I think that would be with one set of lights running. But it is so bright one is about all you need.

This looks like something I may need to get.

However does it offer (non user hacked together) mounting options beyond seatpost? My under saddle bag hangs too low and blocks seatpost mounted lights.

it just has the typical loop. zip ties to the rescue (G)

Does it quick release from the mount? I haven't been able to zip tie my other light to the light strap on teh back of my saddle bag without it sagging badly or else requiring a total hack looking job.

It would be great if there was a second mount with a clip that these quick release lights could use intead of the post clamp. Especially when paying so much.

yes it is quick release. but since you don't have to remove it to change the battery you can have more options. myself I would use the quick clamp put a couple holes in it and use a zip tie to go around the triangle right below the seat.

(G) the xenon flasher is nice but it sure sucks up the juice. I had mine wired to some 4/3 4800mah cells. thsi is far less juice hungry

If it's the square style of quick release (as found on other cateye lights) you can contact Cateye and they'll send you a "belt clip" so you can hang it off a seat pack.

cheaper then gettign run over (G) but the side lights are what I was after. no needing extra blinkies all over now.
