Assuming that I'll be using the oem stem that is equiped on an '09 maddy, what diameter size is it at the stem clamp for the handlebar? I want to buy a handlebar to swap in sans brake levers for the track classes. I'm trying to keep the costs down as much as possible and make it as convenient as possible when I prep the bike for track use. This way I don't have to unwrap and unbolt the brake levers....just remove the whole handlebar/brake levers/brake calipers/brake cables as a complete sub-assembly unit and install a "track bar" for track duties. And where's the least expensive place to buy bars? Thanks!

According to the Schwinn archive the 2009 Madison came with 31.8mm bars
