Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - drop handlebar for my mad*son
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Assuming that I'll be using the oem stem that is equiped on an '09 maddy, what diameter size is it at the stem clamp for the handlebar? I want to buy a handlebar to swap in sans brake levers for the track classes. I'm trying to keep the costs down as much as possible and make it as convenient as possible when I prep the bike for track use. This way I don't have to unwrap and unbolt the brake levers....just remove the whole handlebar/brake levers/brake calipers/brake cables as a complete sub-assembly unit and install a "track bar" for track duties. And where's the least expensive place to buy bars? Thanks!
According to the Schwinn archive the 2009 Madison came with 31.8mm bars
