Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hmm ... 22 is easy, wonder if I could do 47?
ABC's ITP/OTP Ramble offers something for every road cyclist: long rolling stretches, quiet tree-lined avenues, scenery both familiar and new, and in this "City of 100 Hills", a good measure of climbing.
All mileage options -- from 22 miles up to the full century -- start/end at Atlantic Station and explore routes both new and old; you'll find yourself reaching familiar destinations by unfamiliar roads. You can read highlights of each route here (https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1nBcDrnmgvbQZAKcWZRphy1IqlU2RaGWtmGPctf1jzGQ)
Registration and more information here (http://www.atlantabike.org/node/1749).
I guess this ride replaces the Share the Road Century they did in past years on Labor Day. It started in Vinings and went out past Six Flags for the century route.

*bump*
Anyone doing this one? I'm thinking about it but I've never done a group ride. And I'm slow.

This isn't a group ride. They're usually 5-50 riders. This is an organized ride of hopefully several hundred riders, with individuals, teams, groups, etc. just doing their thing. You don't have to be fast or slow. You're not competing with or keeping up with anyone. You're only competing with yourself and/or any friends you're riding with.

RonH, cool, thanks for the clarification! I've only ever ridden with one other person, and only on a couple of occasions.

Okay, so I'm going to do this. The 47 mile option. The camera battery is all charged up and ready!
Dress warm (layers). It'll be in the low-mid 30s when the ride starts. Have fun. :thumb:
I'll be thinking of all you riders while I'm sitting by the wood burning stove in my comfy chair with the MacBook Pro sitting on my lap, cruising Bike Forums. I'll probably head out after the frost is gone and the sun is bright (noon). ;)

Ha, will do! I have no problem looking like a goober for the sake of warmth.
Saw you guys this AM. The Airport Ride shared the same route for a portion of the ride from East Point down 29. Looked like you had a good crowd.

It was my first so I'm not sure what constitutes a good crowd. It was fun though. Managed the 47. Woohoo!
