BMX - Going to start riding BMX again -- OS bikes worth riding or not?

I rode a little bmx when I was a kid, but quickly moved into geared bikes. Now that I have unlimited free time and no income, I kinda want to try riding them again. There's a couple of skate/bmx parks nearby, so I'm thinking of farting around over there when no one is around. I've got two OS bikes to choose from: a Pegeot mx-125 and an ugly, but mechanically sound DB Hot Streak with skyways. Will either of these bikes hold up to a 35yr old, 170 lb rider?

You're better off getting a new bike. The old BMX bikes really are pretty small. Even a $300 complete these days is about 2" roomier in the Top Tube than many OS bikes. There have been so many improvements made in BMX bikes the past 25 years, that riding an old bike kinda scares me at times. I'll take my new BMX bikes over the old ones for park riding anyday.

Keep the old ones around for kicks/memories, and buy a newer one for riding now. Craigslist/ebay to find something that isnt too expensive and will do the job for you.

Ahh, I had to look for it.

The picture makes it look nicer than it was. It needed a full strip and repaint. I found a guy that wanted to put in the time/money to fix it up with his pre-teen son, so I sold it cheap. It did bring back some memories though.
