I have a friend who upgraded his wheelset from The standard Mavic with Coda hubs that came on a Cannondale to some Krysiums and has offered me his wheel for fairly cheap, however the wheel has had 5 spokes break in the past 6 months or so. I was wondering if since I am about 70 pounds lighter than him if I will have better luck with this wheel? Also how much does fixing some spokes and getting a wheel trued at a bike shop typically cost?

ThanksIt could be a badly built wheeel, and the real fix is having it rebuilt with new spokes and properly tensioned. I wouldn't waste my time and money on a CODA POC unless it was free,and maybe not even then.
