:)I have a late 70's kabuki by bridgestone with tange tubing and cromoly forks lots of chrome
It has been ridden less than 200 miles and is still in very good shape. any gestimates of its value? I just got it out and rode it for a few miles but it only has 27x1" tires and I have to ride over 5 miles to get to pavement. I still can't post pics yet but I'm trying to get my 50 posts in so that I can participate more. Thanks for any inputs.:thumb:

Post pictures. Most of the 1970s Kabukis I have seen were really low end bike.

This one is only 25 lb with fenders and rack. I think that it is better than some others. Shimano 600 components and rd. diacompe brakes are center pulls. If I remember it cost about 350 in the 70's. Will try to post pics but dont have enough posts to do so yet. I'm working on that however.

This clearly was one of the nicer models. Unfortunately, it has some serious condition issues, mainly rust, and the basic consumables: tires, cables, etc. Bikes in this condition tend to sell to buyers looking for a project at a very steep discount, say $50. That person will then do all the rehab work, cleanup, replace worn out parts, and resell for around $200.

wrk101,
Being in storage and 2 moves has not helped it the brake hanging hardware and the small bits need to either be replaced or reworked. I'm just getting it out to rework, and wondered if anyone had any of the upper end kabukiexpereince. I ran a small shop in the Cleveland area and sold lots of the low to mid end kabuki's if its only worth that much it fits and as such is a keeper. Do you know if that frame is all Chrome under the paint it has a chip on it that shows chrome close to the lugs. Wheels are campy tipo hubs with ridgida 1" rims.
