Commuting - Winter Biking

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Visit the Winter Cycling thread, as well as http://www.icebike.org and, closer to your home, the "Edmonton Bicycle Commuter" website. And if you want more, subscribe to the Icebike mailing list (address available at http://www.icebike.org).
There are quite a few Winter riders on this list: commuters in Montréal (2 or 3 besides myself) in Ottawa and Toronto, as well as a few from Winnipeg and from Alberta (Calgary or Edmonton). There are a few bike-trail Winter commuters from Calagary on the Icebike mailing list too.
Oh. The Winter Cycling forum here has people from your neck of the woods too.
Yup, winter commuter over here. It's more peaceful, the kids are in school and it's more intense than the summer commutes. If you have the right gear, it's quite a blast.

you guys have already had some winter out there, haven't you westman? We're still enjoying our 3rd week of summer here in Ontario.
Another one here. Check out the appropriately named "top 100 reasons to ride in winter" -thread in Winter Cycling. It lists about 200 reasons to "do that".
