Why did you ride against traffic, twice and do so against to large trucks to boot? I'm going to guess that is illegal even in your community/country. Not a great way to promote cycling, showing others you're breaking the law.

It looked like the first instance was illegal (but maybe in England they allow that for bikes - no idea), but that the second one was in an alley or some other one lane road that allowed traffic in either direction.
I think the video does a good job of showing how a cyclist can get around traffic jams, but I'm not sure if it would attract or scare away any would-be cyclists.

Neither instance of what appeared to be riding against traffic was actually that.
In the first case the semi has crossed the street and was on the wrong side of the road, in order to get past several parked cars.
In the second instance the truck was stopped on a narrow country lane to let the cyclist get by.
Looked like Crowborough in the UK to me. :rolleyes:
PS. Cam would have been better mounted to the head tube or crossbar than the handlebars.

But boy, those are some narrow streets! I can't imagine cycling there without a MTB, let alone going down cobblestone roads.

good guess! The write up under the video said,
The video footage was shot around Crowborough (East Sussex, England / United Kingdom).
I thought it looked very much like St. Albans, which is where my daughter lives. (the traffic looked the same too)

Remember, this video is shot in England, where we drive on the "wrong" side of the road, and where cars can park on the actual road (typical village lanes where 2 thirds of the road's width are occupied by parked vehicles). The number of cars on either side of the road may be confusing to those not used to it (overwhelming even !). There is a lot of swerving / start-stop involved when driving through most villages in the UK, even when driving a car, because of the narrow passage ways and parked vehicles.
Furthermore, there is no riding "against" incoming traffic in this video, simply because there is no such traffic in the first place (gridlock / traffic jam on both sides ... no vehicle motion). The main safety concern is car doors that suddenly open (typically with parked cars), and of vehicles that suddenly decide to exit the gridlocked lane for a impromptu U-turn (often in anger) !
Regarding the location of the camcorder: the device is actually mounted on the frame, not on the handle bars. The bicycle used is a Brompton folding bike (16" wheels), so the camera is very low to the ground. My eye level is actually much higher, allowing me to see more than what the camera is showing. The left-right rocking of the bike also gives an impression of speed, and unfortunately creates a lot of picture "wobbling" (no image stabilization with this cheap micro DVR MD80 camera).
