I effing ROCK
Now, I've been bad, and I haven't checked my blood sugar for the whole summer and until now, because I'm a lazy Type II diabetic. Go ahead, yell at me.
BUT, I started running this summer, and I've recently gotten into road cycling for the past month and go almost every day for at least 1.5 hours. I eat like a minimally indulgent person might.
I never really had to do much to get my blood sugars into normal range before-- just watch what I eat. But now that I've done this stuff, I recently got a new presciption filled for testing supplies and I just checked it.
I've eaten in the past 24 hours--
A small noodle bowl(fresh, not that bad stuff)
2 Bowls of Cereal
1 small ice cream
1 turkey sandwich
1 slice of french toast
1 sausage patty
1 banana
2 apples
1 bowl of tomato soup
1 veggie burger
1 bagel
AND I AM IN TOTALLY NONDIABETIC RANGE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY DAY
I rock
I just had to exclaim to someone :)
PS
I hate running-- I don't know why I didn't buy a bike sooner.
