Posted this in the vintage thread also and was also curious about the value?

It was dirty but I already have it disassembled and it cleaned up real nice.
Should have it ready for a test flight in about a week.

I rescued this baby from the aluminium scrap heap at the recycle center.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all about recycling but holy smokes lets not get carried away!

No plans to sell it. The frame fits me like a glove and if it rides nice it will be my new daily rider.

Glad you rescued that bike. Only Wally World bikes deserve the heat of the recycling furnaces.
A Technium is a nice bike. OK, it's not a 531 steel Raleigh, but it does have steel forks and stays and offers a very comfortable ride while weighing a little less than it's counterparts. I'd estimate the value, after complete rebuild, at around $150. As is, it's worth around $40.
You will not be disappointed if you keep it. They make good riders.

Thanks for the info.
Now I know not to get to carried away fixing it up.

The brakes are side pull Dia Comps. Nothing fancy but nice and lite.
Seat post is a short Laprade.
Wheels could use new rims. I ustabe pretty good at wheelbuilding. Looks lie time to rekindle that old skill.
Crankset, handle bars and stem are SR. They seem t have a better finish than usual?
Shifters are Suntour.
All in all a pretty light bike. I can't wait to get it on the road.
