Are dawes any good? I am considering the giro 400 or the giant OCR 2. does any one know about dawes?

I'm a newbie and bought a Dawes Lightning, only thing I could afford, got it for a song. I'm not sure whether it's because I'm use to my MTB but I'm very happy with the bike. I haven't had any problems with it in ~150mi.
