Just play Madden if you're a foaming-at-the-mouth sports gooch, it's way more fun.

I want to play a game where it combines aspects of soccer, football, hockey and baseball.

I'll call it dingerball.

Video games are just as bad.

How 'bout, you know, sticking real sports? With real athletes?

I concur with the OP. Listening to an avid fantasy player the day after games is just about the most tedious thing ever.

Good luck finding a hockey or football game near you to participate in, but your high horse is noted.

P&R! P&R! ;)

Seriously now, aren't most fantasy OR professional sports leagues abominations of the simple games upon which they were based?

Being involved with Fantasy Leagues has caused me to be more interested in watching sports broadcasts instead of doing other things.

So I guess I'd agree with the abomination part of the original premise.

Well, I work with six of them.

When there is no fantasy football in season, these guys have withdrawl affects that are worse than a recovering drug addict. I am not joking. They get mean, rude, and sorta violent, and "joke" that they have no reason to live. When the season starts again, they are somewhat normal human beings for a few short weeks.

I guess, to be fair, I get that way about the sweet 16 and my pool entry for that. Fortunately (or unfortunately) now that I've left college, I have less available people to make a pool and I get less into it. Being a scientist and the only male american nearby means my chances of making a local pool are small and I obsess about it less.
