Is there much of a difference between C Record and Chorus pedals from the 80's?

These came on a bike I bought and I'm not sure what I have.

I looked at the '87 Record catalog I have and the rear plate is different than those in your pictures. The plate of the 87 Record pedals do not wrap around the outboard side of the pedal. Could be a difference in the years, but my guess is you have Chorus pedals.

The Record pedals had replaceable plates, the Chorus (and Athena) are not replaceable.

Chorus and Athena used the same pedals.
These are Chorus or Athena pedals.

Velobase (http://www.velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=797F949D-1A26-4D2B-A9C5-AB99ED05220F&Enum=109&AbsPos=5) notes that "One fairly distinct way to tell them apart is that on [C-Record] pedals, the toe clip attaches from the bottom and curves up and over the top. On the Chorus pedal, the toe clip bolts on from the top of the pedal."

I also seem to recall that the C-Record spindles were derived from the older Record design, with spiral rifling to help expel contaminants, while the Chorus spindles derived from the Gran Sport series and lacked this rifling.
