i just got my new rim today, i specifically ordered a Sun Rhyno Lite XL and what i ended up with was a Sun Rhyno Lite. ive alreadly given the shop the money so i prob wont be able to get it changed, so now i have a ****ty Rhyno Lite and ive heard that they arn't that good. what should i do because im broke now, i dont think it was the shops fault, ireckon it was the distrubuters.

Seems to me you should just point out that you orderd the XL and wait for the shop to send that wheel back and get the right one.

It doesnt matter who made the mistake as far as who sent you the wheel. The fact still remains that you paid the LBS to send you the XL. They are required to send you what you ordered period.

ive already paid for it though and put it on the wheel, so im either going to ask for a reambursment or get them to get the other rim that i actually ordered for no extra price

No doubt you should get what you paid for.

Are Rhyno Lites bad? My impression is that they are not.

My Rhyno Lites are tough as hell. A little heavy, but tough.

True, but they still aren't the xl's :)

ok...this is what you do. you go back, and say, "This is a rhyno lite, I ordered a rhyno lite XL. You sent me the wrong thing. Please exchange" and there you have it. sue them if they dont let you exchange it. :D

Yeah, I'm afraid I don't see the problem. Either return it, or take it to them and say you send me a Rhyno-Lite and I paid for the XL so give me back the difference.

I dont see the problem either... You didnt get ripped off, someone made a mistake. Go in and point it out and get it rectified.

He's probably scared to get it exchanged that's why.

He says that he's already put it on the wheel - I assume that once you use a product you are pretty much agreeing that the transaction is complete from your point of view. If it was untouched then, for sure, just have the shop track down the right rim.

Hope it works out for you.

If you have a receipt of some kind that says you orderd a Xl that would help.

dont worry bout it guys, it was my mistake. I was tired that day from work so i lost my cool, i actually did order the right one. one thing i noticed is that it seems to get flat spots really easily and that it is an absolute b###$ to put a tire on. i couldnt even put it on and so i had to get the LBS to do it

................... one thing i noticed is that it seems to get flat spots really easily ............
the only difference it the XL is 2mm's wider and the seam is welded (and that is not necessarily a plus) neither of them are more prone to flatspots

Rhyno lites are a fine wheel. I have no idea how you're getting flat spots and even less of a clue why you can't put a tire on http://img46.exs.cx/img46/6240/shrug1.gif. I don't even need levers to mount tires on mine. I've even mounted 1.5" slicks on a set for a customer with NO issues

hey u paid for what i didnt want makes me wonder.
Watch the AOL'ese Jamis, it's a no no here.

Correct, but they also have machined sidewalls! The standard Rhyno lite's do not. this is a big difference in my mind. Much better braking and the welded seam is more smooth, as opposed to pinned wich end up leaving a ridge which you feel while braking.

Dude, this is not like returing your food at a resteraunt! They can't spit in it if you return it! If you point out their flaw and they don't make it right they can have a bunch of problems on their hand.......

To add to your tire mounting difficulty. Spray a little soapy mixture on the bead and then try to reinstall the tire. That will also aid in an even seat of the tire.
