I recently picked up this bike. I've been looking for a folder and I really like this bike but it is too big for me so I am going to sell it and keep looking. What is something like this worth?
It is in fine shape and appears to be hardly used.

Bump. Actually, I don't think the bike is all that much too big and I've decided to keep it. Did some lunchtime rides last week and now me and the bike have bonded.
Still I wonder what it's worth. Seems like a very sound piece of machinery.

In new condition foldable MTBs are worth around 30% more than usual MTBs. Montague is one of the very few companies who has made them. Now the thing with BMW: Here in Europe BMW is selling various bicycles in their car shops. Usually they are very high quality and have exclusive design. Because of the brand name and design they usually cost up to twice as much as other similar bikes. One can immediately point out a BMW bike. The one that you have found is IMHO a rather simple bike and doesn't have the looks of a typical BMW bike. Nevertheless if the BMW label is genuine, you can ask for a high price. When selling it, stress the word BMW and forget Montague. In a quick check at ebay I found that someone is selling the very same bike for 900 USD. This might be slightly over the top but the price can go very high in an auction. There are a lot of BMW car fans around, who wouldn't mind a bicycle from the same brand.
