The Ozark Roadies will do a 43-mile ride out of Savoy to the Prairie Grove Battlefield and surrounding areas on Sat., Oct. 2 at 9 am. Drinks, snacks, bathrooms at Battlefield. Hwy 16W (in Fayetteville, Ar) toward Lake Wedington. Before Illinois River Bridge, sign for "Savoy" on right. Follow road, go over a bridge, bear left, meet at white bldg on right.

How is the riding near Ft. Smith? Road? Mountain? My wife is interviewing for a job there.

I have not biked in the Ft. Smith area, but did a quick check on MapMyRide, and found 53 routes. There are several bike shops in Ft. Smith that could probably help you as well. If you end up in Ft. Smith, it's not that far to Fayetteville and you can come ride with the Ozark Roadies.
