Went to REI last night before jam, thinking I might be able to grab the pirate-themed jersey that says "the beatings will continue until morale improves" at a season end price, but they were sold out.

But, lo and behold, I found something MUCH MUCH MUCH cooler. A retro NASA themed jersey, complete with the mission patches for Apollos 11, 12 and 13. Yes, it had to be mine...

you look like you are going to a StarTrek convention.

I think rust colored towels would go nicely in that bathroom, the current ones are too monochromatic.

And you need a red phone cover to go with that jersey, the blue one is also too monochromatic.

Great jersey! I almost bought one myself. In fact, if I can find it in a kid size, I think Santa might be bringing one for my son.

Ha. I've actually been to one once, but NOT in costume.

Damn... I just noticed!

How's the fit? Oddly, on REI's product page they say "the jerseys run a size small" but this a Medium, I wear a Medium, and its definitely NOT a racing but club cut... it fact, its a little big. Bike Jersey sizing is so screwy... anyway, I'm 5'5" and 155 and its a wee flappy on me. I can't imagine what it would be like on a hard-core cyclists' frame.

Now that's better.

My Spam jersey is cooler though. Just say'in.

Apparently goes down only to Men's small, though. :(

I don't suppose we've bumped into each other on the American River Trail, have we?

I ride a 2003 Trek 2200, "titanite black" with blue accents...

Man, and here I am stuck going to the GranFondo in my Yoo-Hoo jersey again because I don't have a Spam jersey or a NASA jersey. :(

I actually posted a customer review on REI's website. It actually would be a pretty sucky jersey, IMHO, if all it had on it was the NASA logo... the mission patches are a nice touch (12 and 13 are on the sleeves, and 11 is on the back pocket(s)). I'm surprised, given how many geeks like myself that I know ride, that there aren't more geek jerseys out there.

Some of the designs that are shirt.woot.com would be PRICELESS for a custom jersey.

Speaking of awesome jerseys, if someone sends me one of the old Foo jerseys, I will totally wear it at the GranFondo next weekend and try to get my pic with Levi Leipheimer in it.
