Just got home. I guess the phone call from Mike was quicker than my drive. Its a better size for me (55 center to center, 56 center to top, checked the Schwinn catalog, they call it a "56") than the Waterford I bought two weeks ago. Lets hope there's nothing bad underneath the slapped on stickers.
Assuming I keep it, based on the one comes in, one goes out "thrifty bill" rule, I'll probably put the 105 STI set up off my Fuji Roubaix, and this DT 105 stuff on the Fuji. Then the Fuji moves on to a new home. Looks like a 1992 Series 5.
I also picked up an interesting Univega project (yes, I know, no more MTBs!!!). Either part it out, or build it up to replace my Trek 950 (one bike enters, one bike leaves). I think it is a 1988 Univega Alpina Pro. Has a nice bronze chrome frame. Missing some parts as you can see. Rear U brake.

Funky Lookin! I like it :) Especially the stem.
I dig the black wheels, I think it would look hot with some more black...like a crankset and derailleurs.

Yes, as much as I do not like white bar tape, to me, that might be what this bike needs, along with a white saddle (I do have some white tape in the bin). If I could get some solid purple color tape, that might work too. I also have a purple/black/white splash tape as well, but I usually don't like the look of splash tape. Hopefully I can resurrect either the white Rolls or the white Condor that came with the bike. Got a white Rolls on the Waterford Paramount as well.

And the possible donor: 1995 Fuji Roubaix, would provide wheelset, compact crankset and brifters. Kind of hate to rob the parts off this one. I also have a set of 600 tricolor components and 8 speed 600 brifters (but no wheelset). The only other eight speed wheelsets I have are a mid 1990s Matrix/RX100 set (Trek 1400 donor), and a more modern low spoke count Shimano wheelset.
Decisions, decisions.
