I have had the standard issue mountain bikes throughout my childhood, but now that I'm a bit older I'm interested in trying something different. Hybrids appeal to me, but I haven't the experience to know which are the betters ones or what to look out for.

I'm currently looking at the below site, and two bikes in particular. Which one do you think is the best? Or if you can see any better ones for around the same price it would be appreciated.

I'm partial to the Scott bikes...I was actually interested in the Sub series bikes, but went for the Sportster because I got one for a good price and it was instock.

As soon as the 2010 Jamis bikes go into closeout at Bicycle Bananas you should be able to get a 2010 Jamis Coda Sport for the $475 those others will cost. Shipping is free.

This was actually my first choice but was a bit out of my price range. If this is the case...$475 for the Coda Sport free shipping, I would go with it most definitely!
