here is mine w/ dia compe shot lever.
i like the lever cuz you can pull it from both sides.
also, because one lever is longer than the other, it seems like you get more finger leverage with one, so shorter left side i use for taking speed off and longer right side for more sudden stops.
also x2, i think they look nice on bullhorns cuz they look like mini bullhorns ;p

I was trying to concoct some way to keep my Sora hoods
and use them at the end of my a set of bull horns.

The stock bullhorns on my SS look too long
(it won't be here until mid-next week).

I want to go shorter, more compact.

nice looking bike illdthedj!! is that a miche seat post? since you mounted the levers on the leftside of the stem, wouldnt the long side lever just acts as a short lever because your fingers would have to reach over the stem?

I actually need to go ahead and put a brake on my new bars so I can actually ride my bike.

I used to have some Syntace Stratos that I really liked. I ended up chopping them for a bar end shiftered build but became less practical for anything else. I've got some Nitto bars now that are nice but don't look as good. No sweep back, no drop. Normally I like right angles and simple radii but they just look wrong.

I actually need to go ahead and put a brake on my new bars so I can actually ride my bike.

I need to find a shorter recessed nut for my brake so I can actually stop my bike.

Sorry for the crappy Iphone pics, but this is my current commuter set up, and I am really happy with it. Syntace bars (0 drop) with Paul cross levers. Still gotta track down some cables that fit into the holes as the cross levers are not made for this type of thing.

Acutally, TT single-speed. I did a individual TT on it a month or so back. Averaged 24.6mph over 10 miles with no aero gear. Wish I could train more and be faster. Some guys, albeit with full aero TT bikes/wheels/helmets, average 28mph. Carzy.

I have this, too. For <$20 shipped (with a coupon, which Nashbar always seems to have), you really cannot complain.

People used to do 30 with just drops, exposed brake cables, what have you old bike stuff. pain

Wow, you have a bash guard and a chain guard. Yea, your pant leg is not going to get sucked into the drive train ever...well, it's not like bananas ever wear pants but still, pretty neat.

Those are Nitto RB-021, it has a 60mm drop.

i have that fizik tape, i love the texture. one of the best choices ive made.

just got these in the mail.

Those are Nitto RB-021, it has a 60mm drop.

I'll do that once I figure out why the inside pad (near wrist) of my hands hurts after 50kms with bullhorns. Must the downward angle?

Here's my setup. I actually jam an oversize cross lever on the clamp region right next to the stem. I cover the bar with a bit of electrical tape first, though.

Saw this on campus. Anyone ever see something like it? Looks like the brakes are in the original position that would be used for the drops, flipped the other way before they were cut.

Got to ride my SS for the first time last night.
I like it a lot. It's exactly what I thought it'd be.

The only thing I need to adjust will be the cockpit.
Will have to put on a longer stem and definitely a 44cm bar.
Right now, it has what seems to be a 90mm stem and a 40cm bar.
AND, I definitely know that I'm going to have to have bar end brake levers.
That and as suspected a new saddle.

Any suggestions for brake levers?
