The rubber seal on the left side of my rear hub makes a squealing sound and rotates slowly when I'm walking my bike or riding less than 10mph - if I hold the seal stationary, the squealing stops.
So firstly, is this seal supposed to rotate with the wheel, not rotate at all, or rotate slightly (slower than the rest of the hub)?
And secondly, to fix it, can I just drop some chain lube or something into the seal, or is this a more complicated (perhaps hub-repacking) process?
